Hojicha is made from Bancha leaves (late harvest), roasted for a long time in the oven. This is the only Japanese green tea with a brown color, it releases a woody but light flavor. Thirst-quenching, it is traditionally proposed at the end of meals and even in the evening thanks to its very low theine content.
