This purely organic Matcha is produced in the Wasuka region, in the south of Japan. Our organic Matcha is a high-quality Japanese green tea made from Tencha leaves. It is renowned for its numerous health benefits.
The Tencha leaves grow on tea bushes that are covered with bamboo mats three to four weeks before the harvest begins, filtering up to 90% of sunlight.
Protected from the sun, the tea bushes produce more chlorophyll, and their amino acid content increases.
After being carefully dried, destemmed, and deveined, the tea leaves are stone-ground in a granite mill to produce the finest Matcha powder.
Matcha has a complex and pleasant taste. This sophisticated tea begins with a pleasantly spicy note, leading to a unique umami flavor and a soft, lingering aftertaste.
